Use this page when you are not sure what the signup form is asking for, what happens after you submit, or how private edit links work.
What is Activate All RI 2026?
Activate All RI 2026 is an unofficial Rhode Island POTA community effort to coordinate planned activations for all 61 Rhode Island references during one event window. The schedule helps activators see coverage gaps and helps hunters find planned activity.
What does coverage mean?
Coverage means someone has shared a planned activation window for that reference. It is not an official park reservation, does not prevent another activator from operating there, and does not guarantee that contacts will be made.
How should I choose a time block?
Pick the three-hour block closest to when you expect to be on the air. The block is a planning tool for the public schedule, not a promise to operate for exactly three hours. If your timing changes, use your private edit link to update the plan.
What should go in public notes?
Public notes are shown to hunters. Useful notes include parking or access details, QRP or portable context, and the order of stops in a rove. Do not put private contact details in public notes.
What is the private edit link?
After you submit a plan, the site emails a private link to the address on your submission. That link lets you manage plans tied to the same email address, including changing stops, dates, time blocks, bands, modes, notes, or cancelling a plan. The volunteer page has more detail on using your edit link when plans change.
What happens after organizer review?
New plans wait for organizer review before they appear on the public schedule. After a plan is approved, activator edits are meant to keep the public schedule current without requiring a new signup.
How do I get a new edit link?
Use the resend form on the volunteer page with the callsign and email address from your signup. If you mistyped your email address, contact an organizer so they can help connect the plan to a reachable address.
What remains official POTA?
ripota.org is a community coordination site. Official Parks on the Air resources remain authoritative for rules, references, accounts, spots, logs, awards, and whether an activation is valid.
