Orange in some areas

Westerly: second Saturday in September through the last day of February, and third Saturday in April through May 31. Hopkinton: follow posted requirements.

Westerly requires 200 square inches, increasing to 500 during December shotgun deer season. Hopkinton Grills Preserve requires at least 200 square inches and states no seasonal exception; its adjoining Grills Wildlife Sanctuary gives September through May or as posted. Bring orange for the connected trail system.

Hopkinton trails are open sunrise to sunset.
Getting there & parking
The Westerly trail system starts at the public parking area at the end of Bowling Lane in Bradford.
Pets
Dogs must remain on leash on Hopkinton Land Trust trails.

Before setting up

  • Trails connect properties on both sides of the Pawcatuck River; the land trusts publish different orange guidance.
  • Hopkinton Land Trust prohibits fires, camping, motorized vehicles, digging, and damage to trees or vegetation.
  • An orange vest lending station is available at the Westerly Grills Preserve parking lot.
